The Study Travels blog: Students install water tower at school in Nicaragua during spring break
Students from Grades 9, 10, and 11 traveled to Diriá, a rural village in Nicaragua for a one-week intensive community service trip. They met with the local students and engaged in a cross-cultural exchange. In addition, students will installed a water tank and tower, which will provide the community with a constant supply of potable water. The water tank was purchased using funds raised by Study students this past year.
Another exciting aspect of the trip was honouring two Nicaraguan local girls a university scholarship. The Study's “The World Needs Great Women” Scholarship (The Beca del Colegio The Study El mundo necesita mujeres extraordinarias) is funded by The Study's Free the Children chapter and offered to young female Nicaraguan students who show promise.

We wish our Study global volunteers a safe and exciting journey!
