Visit the school

If you would like to see the school in action, be sure to attend The Study’s Open House in October. Throughout the school year you can arrange for a guided tour by contacting Pattie Edwards, Director of Admissions.

Submit an application

Applications are welcome at any time during the year, but it’s always good to apply early! When submitting an Application Form [PDF] please remember to include all items on the Admissions Checklist.

Admissions Checklist

When submitting an application to The Study, please remember to include:

Completed Application Form (download the PDF file now).
Your daughter’s photograph.
Certified copy of her birth certificate* showing full names of both parents.
Copy of your daughter’s eligibility certificate (required for applicants for Grade 7-11).
Copy of Canadian passport or citizenship card (for Canadian applicants born outside of Canada).
Copy of student visa and/or parent’s work visa or CAQ (for non-Canadian students).
Application fee.
Copies of most recent report cards and any educational assessments.

Confidential Report Form.

* If you would like to bring the original birth certificate to the school, we will certify it for you.

Arrange for an Interview

Once the application is received, the Director of Admissions will contact you to arrange for an interview with you and your daughter

Entrance Testing and Interviews

Kindergarten to Grade 2: By appointment, the week of January 17, 2011*.

Grades 3 to 6 and Grades 8 to 11: By appointment, the week of October 25, 2010* at The Study.

Grade 7:The Study participates in the QAIS Common Admissions Test (CAT) with six other QAIS English schools.

QAIS Common Admissions Test (CAT)

All Grade 7 applicants must write this common exam. Applicants will also be invited to The Study for an interview, school tour and lunch. Students must submit an application to The Study and register on-line for the CAT with Brisson Legris at www.registrationbl.qc.ca.

Examination fees are paid directly to Brisson Legris. Applicants must choose the date they wish to write the exam from one of the following dates :

  Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Marianopolis College, Westmount.

  Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Marianopolis College, Westmount and John Abbott College, Saint Anne de Bellevue.

Saturday, October 30, 2010 at John Abbott College, Saint Anne de Bellevue.

Saturday, sessions at 9am at Brisson Legris in Montreal throughout 2010 - 2011:

   November 6, 2010.

   December 4, 2010.

   January 22, 2011.

   February 19, 2011.

   March 26, 2011

   April 16, 2011.

   May 14, 2011.

   June 11, 2011.

   July 9, 2011.

Admissions Decision

When the admissions process is completed, the Admissions Committee meets and a decision is usually made within two weeks.
