In the Elementary School, House activities are organized by the “Mini Force”. House elections are held in the fall and all students in Grades 3 through 6 get to vote for a Head, Sub-Head, Sports Captain and Co-captains for each of The Study’s four Houses.
The Mini Force is responsible for organizing and running monthly House meetings and also meet twice during each nine-day cycle to discuss and reflect on how each meeting went. The Sports Captains also help organize intramural sports events.
In the Elementary school, each House organizes a fundraising activity during the school year. Activities include collecting funds for UNICEF at Halloween, toys for the Westmount Public Service at Christmas and collecting donations for Le Club des Petits Déjeuners. The students plan each event, advertise it and tour the school to remind everyone about it. They also collect and count all money raised and announce the results in front of the entire school at assemblies.
