SENIOR SCIENCE - MORE ACCOLADES
Study scientists qualify for National Events
Madison Meehan'14 returned a bronze medal winner from the Provincial Science Fair Finals and qualified for the Canada-Wide Science Fair Finals, May 11 - 18, at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta. Grade 9 Study student, Sophie Battat, qualified last month to compete at the International Intel Science Fair in Pheonix, Arizona, May 12 to 17.
ALL GIRLS' LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Many Heroes @ ALL Girls' Leadership Conference
The Study's recent inaugural All Girls' Leadership Conference, empowered over 100 young women from local Montreal schools. Conference theme, "Heroes: discover the hero in you," was underlined by motivational keynote speaker, Scott Hammell, as he escaped from a straight jacket, "dream big, anything is possible, one step at a time." GMAA tennis champions
Three medals go to Study students. Sarah Petrecca, in grade 8, returned gold medal winner in the midget singles category. The midget team took the overall silver medal. Julia Takacsy and Alexa Antoniazzi, in grade 10, returned bronze medal winners in midget doubles. More info & photos here.
