Leading-edge Learning Tools

The Study prides itself on its innovative use of technology to enhance learning, both inside and outside the classroom.  There is a campus-wide wireless network, classrooms are equipped with the most up-to-date tools - including LCD projectors and SMART Boards – and technology is woven through the curriculum at all grade levels.

The goals of the technology program are to:

• Nurture students’ intellectual independence and pride in scholarship.
• Ensure equality in the classroom by giving each student access to the same learning tools.
• Enhance higher order thinking skills through problem solving, presentation skills and access to worldwide educational resources.
• Strengthen technology-related skills for research and data collection.

In the Elementary School, students spend time in the Multi-Media lab, working with various software applications and developing computer literacy skills and keyboarding proficiency.  There are also computers in the classroom, where students can explore curriculum-related software.

In the Senior School technology is fully integrated into the curriculum and every student has a leased wireless laptop computer that she uses in research and study groups, for assignments, explorations, simulations, tutorials, internet access and a myriad of networked applications.  Students must comply with regulations outlined in the school’s Computer Use Policy.
