The following information is meant to assist families with the financial planning of their daughter's education. The Study is committed to removing the barriers of accessibility. We recognize that the most outstanding young minds and great spirits deserve a chance to participate despite their families' financial circumstances.

Financial Assistance

At The Study, we believe girls deserve the opportunity to pursue an education that challenges and inspires them, and one that allows them to grow into confident leaders. Our commitment to financial assistance ensures that promising students will have access to this exceptional education. Thanks to our endowment and generous donors, our financial assistance program is able to support approximately 14% of our students each year. A Study education is a significant investment, and we believe financial need should never stand in the way of a student reaching her full potential.

Financial Assistance Applications

The decision to award a bursary is based on a family’s demonstrated financial need, as determined by a confidential and independent third-party assessment. Applications for bursaries are reviewed separately from the admission process and do not impact admissions decisions. Bursary recipients will be subject to a financial needs assessment each year.

To apply for financial assistance, families must complete the application form on the Apple Financial Services website. Completed forms, including a non-refundable application fee of $130, are sent directly to Apple Financial Services for analysis to determine need prior to consideration by The Study’s Financial Assistance Committee. The decision to award a bursary is based on a family’s demonstrated financial need, as determined by an independent third-party assessment. Parents are asked to fill out an online application, with Apple Financial (FACS).

Scholarships

The Study acknowledges student achievement and contributions to the school community in a variety of ways. Scholarships recognize outstanding academic results and promise and in many cases are renewable. These financial awards are available at various grade levels to both new and returning students.

Offered in 2023 - The Study School Foundation Merit Entrance Scholarship

(Full scholarship & renewable for five years)

A full scholarship will be awarded to the top new student entering Grade 7 for the 2023-2024 school year, based on overall academic excellence, current school reports, a personal letter of intent and an interview. The value of the full scholarship is applied against school fees each year until the student graduates, provided that she continues to achieve proficiency standing and actively participates in school life. Please note : this scholarship is awarded once every three years. It will next be awarded to a student entering in 2023.

Dare to Dream Scholarship

($2,000 & non-renewable)

Awarded annually to a current Grade 8 student entering Grade 9 who has been at The Study since Grade 3 or 4 and possesses an 80% overall average and can demonstrate a positive vision for the future of her community. The Dare to Dream Scholarships are in honour of the school’s transformational Dare to Dream Campaign Cabinet, led by Co-Chairs Jean-Guy Desjardins (father of Olivia ’23 and Chloe ’24) and Randy Kelly (father of Sydney ’19).
