Gifts of securities
Giving securities is a cost-effective way to donate to charity. Capital gains tax does not apply to gifts of securities, so you can give more without incurring this tax.
Please notify the Advancement Office at bhummel@thestudy.qc.ca and complete the gift of securities form.
Make multi-year pledges
A pledge is a commitment by an individual or organization to make a future donation. Some donors make multi-year pledges, particularly for significant donations. By spreading payments over a period of time (typically five years or less), pledges enable donors to commit to larger amounts and fulfil their commitments at a comfortable pace.
Flow-Through Shares
Flow-through shares enable donors to purchase shares in Canadian resource companies and then donate them. This reduces their taxable income and accelerates the development of resource projects in Canada. This reduces the after-tax cost of giving to less than 10 per cent of the donation amount, often leading to transformational impact.

Recurring giving is an easy and automatic way to support The Study that can be tailored to your budget and schedule. It is convenient, customizable and environmentally friendly, and helps to ensure a steady source of funding for The Study.
