Special Remembrance Day Assembly

  • Kindergarten observes a moment of silence
  • Thank you Coporale Laurence Allard-Riendeau

On November 10th, The Study Community gathered together for a special Remembrance Day Assembly, to pause and remember those who have served.

We were fortunate to have Coporal Laurence Allard-Riendeau as a guest speaker. She spoke about the importance of serving one's country and how it is our duty to get involved and help others. She inspired even the youngest of Study students.

The Assembly came to a close as students, faculty, staff and parents observed a moment of silence for those we have lost in battle.

To commemorate Remembrance Day, three grade 10 students travelled to Ottawa to participate in the National Remembrance Day ceremony.  They began their day by listening to speeches from World War II veterans, they then proceeded to parliament to attend the official Remembrance Day ceremony. They were also privileged to spend time with Dr. Paul Kavanagh, Founder of Operation Veteran.
