Parents are valued partners
Welcome to the Study Parent Association (SPA). As a parent of a child enrolled at The Study you are automatically a member of the SPA and are encouraged to participate.
The Study community benefits from the strength of parent volunteers who support the school both with their time and their talents. The purpose of the SPA is to support this partnership.
The SPA hosts many of the events that help nurture our strong sense of community ties, such as: The Welcome Back BBQ, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week as well as a Farewell Breakfast in June.
The SPA holds monthly meetings where parents have an opportunity to hear exciting news directly from the Head of School, Mrs. Nancy Sweer, see presentations from department heads and get updates from our specialists on their progress & work with our girls. There are often presentations from students themselves where they proudly show the parent community the results of their hard work and dedication to learning at The Study. These meetings are also excellent forums to ask questions and propose topics for future meetings.
We believe that when parents are involved in their daughter's school life everyone benefits. You make a difference; no two volunteers are exactly alike. There are many volunteer opportunities and SPA Committee Chair, Effie Koufalis, mother of Elizabeth Andriopoulos '23, and Vice-Chairs, Amanda Eaman '97, mother of Clementine Castle '28, and Monica Tsokanos, mother of Elsa Tsokanos '30, encourage you to get involved and welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about these opportunities.
